“I wish for a 4-wheeler”
Lincoln's favorite things are:
the color blue, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Freeze Tag, sting rays, bald eagles, any kind of meat such as jerky, chicken, burgers, and bacon, baseball, basketball, his sand box, going to the beach at Boyd Lake, riding horses, going camping and 4-wheeling, going fishing, and going to the park.Can you share about your medical journey?
Can you share about your medical journey?
Lincoln was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and tracheobronchomalacia when he was born, which resulted in an ICU stay and several surgeries. He has lived through 12 cardiac arrests and now is on a trach, ventilator, and feeding tube. He is thriving. He runs, talks and jumps and does all things an active 4 year old should do because of all the support we’ve received.
Why did you choose your wish?
Lincoln is a total boy and asked for a 4-wheeler as his wish.
What does a wish mean to you?
Because of Lincoln’s fragile lungs and having a trach, we are always concerned about air quality and things that could potentially get into his lungs, so 4-wheeling has been something we’ve been apprehensive about especially with Lincoln having an exposed airway. Make-A-Wish Colorado made Lincoln‘s wish come true by making it possible for him to safely enjoy this activity!
